Even if you included a brief introduction to CCK formatters, I'd the hardest time to figure out how to create them. After serious Googling I found my way to http://manueg.okkernoot.net/blog/200907/how-create-cck-formatter
Just a tip if you want to put it in the project description, it might help users out.

Deciphered CreditAttribution: Deciphered commentedYou might also want to try the Custom Formatters module, which allows you to make a custom CCK formatter inside of Drupal, without the need of creating a custom module. It supports both PHP formatters and simple HTML with tokens formatters.
