The icon at the forum boards says "Forum Contains New Posts", however it changes only when a new TOPIC is published, not a new COMMENT.

You need to check the option on the settings page.

Thanks for the answer

I checked "Treat all site comments like forum posts"

However, it shows still the icon "Forum Contains No New Posts" instead "Forum Contains New Posts" in the boards index.

I don't see how this is fixed... I am expiriencing the same problems.

The new posts icon in the forum list displays only when there is a new theme/topic, not a new comment/post.

I have no idea how to solve this.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. Is there a way to fix it?

Same answer as in #1, though I should have said _which_ option. Some of my responses were pretty short back then because I was overwhelmed trying to support this module by myself. The option is "Get the number of new comments per forum on the forum list". If you don't have AF checking for new comments/posts, then it uses the core functionality which is to only count new nodes/threads/topics.

I just checked and confirmed that it does work.

PS: "Needs work" only applies if there is a patch on the issue.

Hello Michelle,

THANK YOU for your reply. It's much appreciated. I never saw that option, but I've checked it now and it works perfect.

My apologies regarding marking this issue as "needs work" I'm rather new to using drupal.org.

That option could really use a better description, so it's not surprising. And no need to apologize. I was just letting you know. :)
