Acquia recommends running cron every 5 minutes for most sites. Wouldn't this be a better interval?

Also, can you share the script behind drupalcron? It would be nice if we can run it on our own servers with confidence. Thanks.

i think the script is nearly the same as the admintools.cron.module is.
basically you register 5 sitest there and u register unlimited site in the module
than whenever the cron runs at drupalcron.com(he sets it on their control panel or by ssh) every site that is registered runs cron
so you still need to run cron once from controlpanel or ssh
that is the way i THINK it works
