Can this module be made to affect tabs and contextual menus?

I've got this module installed on a client's site, but the client is complaining that not all of the admin features remain in English (the admin language) when the site is being viewed in French. The admin pages, node create/edit forms, and most of the admin menu (the site is using the Admin Menu module) display in English, but the view/edit/track tabs above each node, and the contextual links (configure/edit menu/edit view) for blocks, menus and views, as well as those items in the admin menu that are specifically generated by the Admin Menu module (flush all caches, run cron, etc.) .

I know there's a separate thread on the admin menu issues (https://www.drupal.org/node/1111592), but is there any intention of eventually making this module work for the tabs and contextual links as well? In the meantime I'm probably going to have to address it via a theme function or something, but it would be great if the module were actually able to handle those...
