Hi,

Why the file "https://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js" is an external file instead of a local file?
Can I load this file from the JS directory without any consequence?
Some workmates say me that it can be a security problem.

Thanks!

That's the canonical core AddToAny JavaScript file, which AddToAny reliably serves since 2006. It's frequently updated for important service changes (e.g. LinkedIn's major change today), features, fixes, including the very rare security fix. Hosting it locally would actually prolong a potential future security issue in addition to putting sites behind in terms of documented features, regular fixes, and deprecated methods & assets.
