has the addnode module been obsoleted? is there an equivalent solution for drupal 6?

the functionality addnode claims to provide is extremely useful. i'm looking for this functionality for D6 right now and want to know if it already exists or if i'd need to create it.

if it does not exist, i might be interested in porting addnode to d6. it looks like this module is orphaned.

I'm in a similar situation, need this functionality. I've used nodeadd in the past on D5.

After some further research, I found this module which offers similar functionality to the addnode module.

I'm also looking for this functionality in D6. There is another module which is listed right above this one, but only has a Drupal 4.7 version.

I'm surprised this hasn't been ported to 6 yet.
