I was trying to update a field using this module. The field is already in the content type, but I had some updated Help text. But when I ran it through alternate_content_copy_import_content, I got this message:

The imported field ([fieldname]) was not added to [content-type] because that field already exists in [content-type].

I thought that one of the major reasons for this module to be was to get around this problem, so that you could update fields.

Module is abandoned. Use features instead, it's safer and more reliable than this approach.
