Originally noted in #1865944: Allow implementing modules to change the My/Other groups selection: On save, if a post was a member of two groups, of which the member only belonged to one, it only saves the one group back, losing the other group audience which the user is not a member of.

Desired behaviour, and default OG behaviour, is that if a post belongs to two groups, and the member is only a member of one of them, the member can only alter their own audiences. All others are unaffected on save.

If the groups are related as parent/child groups, this may be a desired behavior.

  1. Is the user a member of the parent or the child?
  2. Are you selecting a parent and child group as the audience?
  3. What are the group permissions?

Um, ok, now I can't replicate it either on a new clean install. I must have set up permissions wrong, or had a parent/child relationship I wasn't looking closely at...!? Sigh.
