how to show only the latest added item in a menu

Hi everybody,
I want to put some sub-menus in home page that automatically shows only the last item added.
It should looks like as shown below:

MENU BLOCK -------------------

-MENU 1
--recently added item [...]
-MENU 2
--recently added item [...]
-MENU 3
--recently added item [...]

and so on.

------------------------------------

The complete menu items lists wil be displayed in the sub-homepages.

Any suggestion?
