Date Field Compatability

I have installed the Calendar Module and with that have created a Content Type of Event which this module uses for events on the calendar. We use a corp calender which will export a comma delimetered CVS file with Date, Start Time and Finish Time. I first installed the node_import rc4 release and relized that this version does not pick up the Date field at all and after searching the Issues have noticed that this is under discussion and that the dev version has the Date field included. Therefore I have removed the rc4 version and have now installed the dev version. The Event Content Type I created for the calendar uses a custom field utilizing the "Text field with Pop-up and Repeat options" Widget.

The 6.x-1.x-dev version does not seem to fully support the Date field yet and seems to be missing. I have included two screen shots of the Content Type and the acutal page.

You will notice that the Event Date has a From Date consisting of Date and Time as does the To date. Then of course there is a Repeat: Frequency, Period, and an Until Date and Time. There are an Advanced and Except fields also.

I'm not real sure what the current development "Date" support is for, but it seems not to be the same as the Defines CCK date/time fields and widgets "Date 6.x-2.6 module".

I'll try to take a look at the code and see if I can figure out what needs to be added to allow for the mapping to occure.

This is going to be a great module to have in my site so I'm very excited about helping if I can. It is going to save a lot of time.
