is there any way to set up the buddy list module so that when a user requests another the recieving user must accept the request BEFORE it gets added to buddy list??
and also the buddy invitation also adds users to both profiles not just one??

IE
user1 requests user2,
user2 accepts
now user2 & user1 are on eachothers buddy list

And there have been patches and code submitted to do this (look in the buddylist issue queue). I haven't had time to spend on buddylist as I've been busy trying to get Drupal 5 RC ready! So stay tuned for later action on this point. You could always approach one of the other two maintainers and offer to hire them to get this feature into the module... that would certainly speed things up.
