sticky in forum but not on front page?

When I promote a sticky forum post to front page, it's also shown as sticky on front page, which is not what I wanted. I have other stikcy nodes on front page that I don't want to replace.
Is there a hack to seperate sticky in forum and sticky on front page? Thanks.
