Hello,
I was wondering it this module works standalone without needing to flag friend or other modules?
I have installed this and have set the CKK field to be hidden as default.
I am now in the editing page, I can see the icon but when I click on it, nothing will happen.
Is this because I havent got any other modules that been mention in the document installed, or some other issue?

Any support on this?

Nope, I appears you NEED to have one of the mentioned modules enabled. I know this post is 9 weeks old, but just in case it's of use to someone else out there.

There is a standalone submodule to allow you to use "Private" data without any third party module enabled.
Just unzip it anywhere in your modules directories (but prefer the cck_private_field's one)

Those who does not see the interest of this submodule with the current module version are right but coupled with my #1068598: Access right "view private data for field..." allow to view private AND hidden data ! patch it can become very useful.

To the original poster: Yes, this module may work standalone. Though, the "Private" option is available only when other modules are enabled. Otherwise, only the Public and Hidden options are possible. If that does not work for you, then it might be related to something else, maybe a conflict with another module, javascript errors, etc.

Thank you very much both
