Sometimes when I make a new page/block/blog/... and I use CKE for creating the content, the browser freezes and sometimes even crashes (FireFox).

My modules are up to date, I have the latest CKE editor in my libraries and spellchecking is disabled.

When my browser starts acting funny, I noticed firefox' status on the bottom left corner:
connecting to svc.spellchecker.net...

Is there something I can do to avoid this issue?

Maybe try to disable spell checker in profiles, then u will see that depends on it.
