When someone is making time slots they are likely to build multiple slots in a row. We should make this easier. Eventually we should probably create some custom form for it, but adding http://drupal.org/project/addanother might be enough.

Are there any other content types that should be enabled for this? Maybe rooms?

I agree that the http://drupal.org/project/addanother module will work to meet needs.

Ideally, it would be more useful to input several consecutive time slots or rooms on a single page that then spawns several individual node objects.

As for application I agree that Time_slots for sure and Rooms would be the best candidates.

In the Drupal 7 Scheduler, this has been fixed. You can now add multiple times and rooms and drag and drop sessions to the schedule.
