I've been trying to get an answer on this for the last three weeks without luck. I've tried getting a hold of the module developers, posting in the issue forum, etc. with no luck whatsoever.

How do I connect GeoNames to CCK?

What I need is for a drop down that has country. You pick it, you get a drop down for states/provinces/etc. Pick one, you get cities. Would be even better if this includes various regions in between, such as counties or whatever (I know this is especially important in cities like Paris or London).

I installed the Hierarchical Select widget for Geonames.

I have my node types all set up referencing each other.

What I can't find any information on (and have not been able to get an answer to) is how do I connect GeoNames to this? I know there's some kind of coding that needs to go somewhere in the field. I just don't know where it goes or exactly where I should grab that info from.

We've decided to just input the data ourselves instead of using GeoNames. It should have been a relatively easy procedure once we knew what to input to make the connection between our fields and GeoNames' database. But it's pretty obvious that answer isn't going to come.

To those who are contacting people with regards to job postings on here...

Please actually read the posting. Almost every reply we got was so far off the mark it wasn't even funny. That seems to happen every time I post something for paid work.

Please utilize the contact forms to contact people. They are there for a reason. I have replies coming to me at an email address that isn't even the one I use here.
