Perhaps this is as expected, but I thought it strange that the KML layer I uploaded to the map didn't have a map display on the full node like user-created features do (I know those are separate views, but there's no map at all).
Also, there is a static link to the kml file... is this correct?

The kml file _does_ display on the full map and on the user-created map feature full node pages.
