Marked as critical cause image ads are the most popular and the inability to add image to them effectively disables them.

Create content -> Image ad or q=node/add/ad-image if you prefer to read that way.
If it matters, I've used dhtml menu to get there, if it matters. But I bet it does not.

Just to note - I was using admin account, so that should not be the permissions problem, and it works OK if I use general "advertisement" and choose image there.

Hm, strange. I have run into the same issue but I did not had upload files permission ticked for upload module. Looks like a module problem, I hope you arent using develpoment version of the module :)

I'm not able to reproduce this on either 6.x-2.2 or 6.x-2.x-dev. Does the user have the "upload files" permission?
