Translation for module not appearing

Greetings,

I have used the string extract tool to create a uc_discounts.cs.pot file for the Ubercart Discounts module. I did some test translations and renamed the file to uc_discounts.cs.po. I uploaded the new file to the module's translation directory. Then I tried importing and refreshing and updating the my site's translations and the English text still shows even though the site is in Czech mode. I tried clearing the cache. I have read everything I can about translations and don't understand why the Czech translation is not showing. Am I missing anything here? Thanks so much for your help!
