skjalf CreditAttribution: skjalf commentedHelp text needed for vs_webform on Take Action page
I can set vs_webform up but it's a little confusing-- you first have to Create an Action Opportunity, then save it, then edit the webform tab, then add a vs_webform component, and save. Then you configure the vs_webform by editing. Once that happens, I get a box at the bottom of the Take Action page that says State and is noted as required. I don't quite know what that does, but pick my state, and then get a list of government officials, one of whom I pick, and then submit. I get the thank you message I set up and it redirects to the page I told it to.
Here is what I mean: http://skitch.com/skjalf/d9bhm/vs-webform-display-on-take-action-page
(in the screenshot, you can see it adds a seemingly unrelated required state selection- it doesn't include the name/headers I set in my configuration... it looks confusing and random just appearing with nothing telling me why or what it does)
I _think_ I set it up to swap out my email address for a government official's, but I didn't get an e-mail after submitting, so I don't know.
- Help text seems necessary for the actual submitting part-- no headers I entered in configuration showed up, just the confusing box that told me to pick a state. If help text isn't possible here, documentation to tell the users they need to describe what the state box is for and it does would be good.
Also, when I go to Submissions, I'm not sure what I'm looking at, and it doesn't show the names I selected earlier.
I'm still not sure I configured the thing properly, this would be a good documentation task for sure as the process is a little less straightforward than everything else (or maybe it is, and I'm totally missing it)
