When an email address is the username, the URL is not properly fetched in http_request.inc.

urlencoding @ to %40 in the URL on the import form does not solve the problem.

I'm not sure this can be done. An URL like 'http://test@example.com:password@drupal.org/rss.xml' doesn't pass core's valid_url() validation. Moving to a feature request.
