Content Profile breaks theme

I am using Content Profile 6.x-1.x-dev (2010-Jul-19). The user profile breaks the theme. Right side blocks get moved to the bottom of the page (attached images)

I get the following validation errors

9. Line 485, Column 89: end tag for "br" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified

If I disable Content Profile the problem goes away. Any help will be appreciated
