I find that if I make adjustments to the imagecache Scale And Crop preset results in all the existing cropping settings being lost (centering the cropping area for all existing images, meaning that I have to go through every node and reset as needed).

Perhaps there is something I'm doing wrong, but if not - it would be good if the fantastic EPSA Crop module could try to reposition the cropping area as best it could with the new image size.

Title: Try to remember cropping settings when changing imagecache Scale And Crop preset. » Graceful handling of changes to image presets

No, you're not doing anything wrong(besides changing your preset! :-P). I've not encountered this particular issue with 7.x. I've only encountered the occasional stretched image, or image crop that is off when I update image styles. I suspect there's a larger issue here where we aren't storing coordinates in a way that is relative to the image preset (if that makes any sense at all).

I'd love to have this bug fixed.

If anyone has time to fix this, I'll pay a bounty of 200 euro.

I have problems with changing the preset too, but worse than manual crops getting lost, the new images will be a mix between the preset and the manual crop... see #2294297: Existing manual crops will conflict with changed preset

Seems like there was a code change around this between now and the filing of this issue.
