run a custom php.ini file to
run a custom php.ini file to override the timeout. obtain a copy of yoru hosts adjust what needs to be adjusted and put the new php.ini file in your root. more information on obtaining a php.ini file can be obtained from google if your host doesnt provide this information for you or change the settings for you.
I understand why a host wont do it, as it would be server wide, which is why using a custom php.ini file is preferable.
