I hope I'm not being incredibly stupid for not figuring this out myself...

I want to set up a forum only for users with a "moderator" role. I want only those users to be able to see the forum, and only those users to be able to post to it.

Is there a way to do that? I'm not really seeing anything.

youll have to add a module.

Organic Groups could come into play here, or you will want to look into maybe Taxonomy access. goto the downloads page, browse by category, twoard the bottom you will find a category called user authentication and access control.

This is where you will want to seek out which module will suit you best. When choosing an access module, choose wisely, as at this stage, two or more access modules wont work together.
