hi all

got another idiotic question for you all, any help/pointers very appreciated !

when i edit using tinymce the html doesnt come up in the post, it is in the db (i've checked) but wont appear in the final posting, if i change the setting to php then it appears all formatted and nice. I need to have it so the people that will be using this evetually can edit using the tinymce module as they arent tech minded at all, I'm fairly sure I havent clicked an option somewhere but for the life of me I cant find it.

thanks

i mean that the copy is appearing in the post just no formatting at all unless its input format is php code.

Have you attempted to type your post using MCE, then wrap your code inside of tags? will these technically inept people be typing code? maybe I'm confused, can you elaborate or provide a link to what you mean?

typical problem for those who don't create a blank input filter as per the caveat in the install.txt file. Without doing so the HTML gets filtered out by the drupal filtered html input filter.

CAVEATS
********************************************************************
By default, Drupal uses the 'Filtered HTML' input format for adding
content to the site and this can create conflicts with TinyMCE. It's
best when using this editor to use an input format that has all
filters disabled. What I usually do is create an input format called
'Rich-text editing' and set that as the default format for roles which
use TinyMCE exclusively. To modify your input formats go to:

Administer > input formats > configure > configure filters

that old chestnut !

cheers VeryMisunderstood, i believe thats the second time you've pointed me in the right direction, if i wasnt in such a hurry I'd probably have read that far in the install doc (but probably not ;))

thanks again
