Hello fellow marinelli users,

I have been using this nice theme for several sites, but I have still some mysteries to unravel. Hope you can help!

Q1. How to make the orange "secondary" links bar persistently visible in certain child pages?
Q2. How to have persistent highlighting of primary links when secondary links are clicked?

My content nodes are accessible via 3 levels: main categories as primary links, sub-categories as nested primary links (that show up as secondary links in the orange bar), and on the child page to which the secondary link refers there are html urls to the actual content (node) pages.

As expected, the default orange secondary links bar only shows when I click on a top-level primary link that has sub-links to child pages. When I click on a secondary link to a child page (that is not the same node as the node to which the prim.link refers to) the primary parent link loses his bold highlighting and only the secondary link is highlighted. [Q2] how to prevent the primary parent link from losing his highlighting?

Now, I've clicked on a secondary link and I'm on its child page, when I click on an url that refers to a content node: the highlighting of the primary link remains off, but now also the secondary links orange bar disappears entirely. [Q1] how can I let Drupal/Marinelli know that on these "child pages" of the child page of the secondary link that same secondary links orange bar should still be visible?

For example, take a look at http://www.cs.vu.nl/ci/node/231 that can be accessed by clicking on "People" >> "Current members" >> "P.D. van Klaveren, M.Sc."

If you need further info to answer my question, pls let me know!

Kind regards,
Paul

I found 7 open issues that roughly talk about the same problem: the secondary menu disppears when clicking on a child node. To help others I post my solution:

I simply installed the menutrails module http://drupal.org/project/menutrails and it worked!

This issue is being closed because it is against a branch for a version of Drupal that is no longer supported.
If you feel that this issue is still valid, feel free to re-open and update it (and any possible patch) to work with the 7.x-4.x branch.
Thank you.
