ronan CreditAttribution: ronan commentedYeah, I've so far resisted doing any processing of the dump files after exporting or before importing because of the slippery slope that leads to and the risk of corrupted backups or broken restores.
This seems like a fairly reasonable request though so I'll keep it in mind if I ever do give in and start scanning and modifying files.

frenkx CreditAttribution: frenkx commentedIs this maybe related to the issue #1104012: On restore, provide option to drop all tables? In that issue, all tables, that are not part of the backup, will be dropped. Is this what you want?

thoughtcat CreditAttribution: thoughtcat commentedHave the developers had any more thoughts on this? It would be so useful to be able to, say, only restore all the products and orders from my Ubercart production site into my dev site and back again rather than overwriting everything else in the database at the same time.
