I'm not sure if this is related to the jquery 1.7 issue but whenever I click anything in the popup the height of the window increases by 48px with no regard to max height. It just keeps increasing the height forever.

Dialog size is set 960x800
Built in API
Position Center
Default Theme

Any ideas?

Yes it is a jQuery UI 1.7 issue. Let's add it to the #837166: jQuery UI 1.7 compatiblity issue, so that it is solved in once place. I described your problem in http://drupal.org/node/837166#comment-3374288, so that it doesn't get lost.
