I was asked to upgrade a 4.6 site to 4.7, but it is not going cleanly. Part of the problem is that the site was mainly hacked together in the first place.
I'm thinking of just doing a clean 4.7 install and trying to transfer over the nodes, user data, profile data, etc.. Anyone have experience doing this, and if so, what tools did you use?
I don't mind going into the database and manually trying to move stuff over, but if there are existing tools to accomplish this, that would be a big bonus.
Thanks for any thoughts/tips.

I did something similar
I did something similar once. I used phpmyadmin to dump to a file singular tables to releoad them on the clean install.

Thanks for the reply
Thanks for the reply fax8.
Yep, once I got started on it, it turned out to be pretty darn straightforward. Export, import. Export, import. Ad nauseum :)
All went smoothly.
