Is it possible to appear offline?
If not, maybe something to consider.

fenda CreditAttribution: fenda commentedI am working on an update so that the list is a static list of all of your friends/online users and shows 3 color status' - online, busy, offline.
Users will be able to set their own status to any of those 3.

DaRK-1 CreditAttribution: DaRK-1 commentedJust tried the latest dev release, overall not too bad, liking the timestamp/grouping of messages.
Saw the go idle/go online options, i guess go offline isn't too far off now?
fenda CreditAttribution: fenda commentedOffline/idle mode should be working fine in the latest dev release.

DaRK-1 CreditAttribution: DaRK-1 commentednot really sure how to go offline then.
Clicking go idle just changes the online icon for me, still on the online list.

mathieu CreditAttribution: mathieu commentedI was somehow expecting that being "idle" would stop the script from polling. Right now (as seen in Chrome), the site seem to never stop loading.
Is this a known issue, or is it something with the site I'm working on?

carvalhar CreditAttribution: carvalhar commentedWell, i think there are two cases here no?
1 - Invisible status
The user never gets listed at the online panel, but he can see everybody who is idle or online and talk with them.
How to add an if where the panel user list is being processed?
If status = offline hide the user from the list.
2- Offline
User can switch on/off the chat, not able to see online user or send/receive messages. everything gets disabled.
Is there a disabled chat state?
If user has no perm, the panel doesn't show...so, how to make the panel show disabled if user is offline (exposing a button for "go online")?
Any help?

darklrd CreditAttribution: darklrd commentedHi carvalhar,
Which version of DrupalChat are you using?

carvalhar CreditAttribution: carvalhar commentedHi,
I'm using 6.x-2.0-beta4.
Although there is a Idle option, i can't see how to be offline or invisible.
Is there a configuration for it?
thanks

darklrd CreditAttribution: darklrd commentedThe idle option is similar to Facebook's. It doesn't do much right now. There is no way to be invisible or offline. These features have to be developed.

carvalhar CreditAttribution: carvalhar commentedCan you point me how to start to develop it?
Invisible status doesn't look to complicated, but how should i build the offline status?
Any tip?
thanks

vinoth.3v CreditAttribution: vinoth.3v commentedI am seeing the offline mode is working fine on the demo website (D7).
So the next step is, Invisible mode :)
Great work.

apadernoI am closing this issue, since it is for a Drupal version that now is not supported.
Please re-open it if the issue is also relevant for other project branches that require a supported Drupal version.
