Arranging checkboxes in columns

Hi,

i have a webform that uses many checkboxes for one single field and so they get arranged all in vertical which doesnt look good. I wonder if its possible to organize them in columns so they look better distributed. Example:

instead of

box1
box2
box3
box4
box5
box6

have:

box1 box3 box5
box2 box4 box6
