I have install drupal 4.7.3 and vertrigo server,when I put in my adress:"http://localhost/drupal"it opens me a log in page but when I try to log in it just immpossible it says" Sorry. Unrecognized username or password. Have you forgotten your password?" but my password and username is OK,Is anybody on this PLANET know how to resolve this?????

Did you create the database and database tables?

try clearing your cache adn internet cookies (or try logging in from another browser that's never been used to loginto Drupal before)

OK, I've been banging my head on this problem too, and I just didn't feel like starting from scratch. Not after the painful migration from 4.6 to 4.7, on the way to 5.1,.

The problem with the unrecognized user names after the migration occur for user names that contain Capital Letters. Go into the DB and change the user name to small case, and you're all set.
