Multiple Associations with each Address.

Is there any way to or any plan to allow each "Addresses" instance (in a node) to be associated with a taxonomy, a taxonomy term or another node?

I have a list of distributors who may have 1 or more offices; however, each office may be related to 1 or more countries around the world. The best way I can think of to make these associations is with a Countries/Provinces(States)/... taxonomy and permit multiple options to be selected--provided they can be associated with each "address".
