Drupal theme bluemarine latest version according to Cpanel/Fantastico
- host: Hostgator.

When I create a page, there is always a "submitted by" on top of the page/content. Can this be removed to make it cleaner?

Secondly, how do I add pictures to the site? Should I use something like photobucket and link to my site?

Thanks again.

If you go to admin/themes/settings (to just go to admin > theme and click configure) you can choose which content types you have this information submitted on. I limit it to forum posts and topics.

You can also enable user pictures to appear with posts under Enable or disable the display of certain page elements.. The only problem here is that you cannot separate pictures from the 'submitted by' information. So, if you enable this, you cannot have posts where user information appears with a picture and posts where it appears without a picture. You can enable that with theme, though. E.g. if you use Contemplate.

For including pictures you have several options:
- Acidfree module
- Image module
- Gallery 2 integration module
- Flickr stickr module

I've tried all and like Gallery 2 the best for image management.
