I want to use the default calendar views, but add a Taxonomy argument coming in from the URL. I haven't been able to get it to do a whole lot. I can accomplish this easily with a regular view, but I need the calendar navigation style to browse events tagged with the term from the URL. Any thoughts?

I have been unsuccessful in getting anything to happen. What I'd like is to make more than one calendar nav based view that can have a taxonomy argument in the URL and display events that are tagged with that term.

Can someone help me out?

I'm having a similar issue.

I'm using the views emulated taxonomy/term/ to provide the page, which works great.

As soon as I enable the Calendar view, and adjust the 'Calendar Block' to use the first argument as the taxonomy term, it causes the emulated taxonomy/term/ view to return file not found '404' with no calendar block either.

I've tried setting the first argument as taxonomy term on the 'Default' and 'Block view' as well as the 'Calendar Block' too - this stops the 404, but then doesn't display the calendar block as expected (if I set all the arguments to display empty text if it can't validate - and it displays this, so it is getting executed).

Is there something special going on with the Calendar Block view, that won't let the first argument be a taxonomy term?

I've not messed around with attachment views before, so maybe I've misunderstood things. Thanks.

Oops, nevermind my last post - I was setting the validator to convert the url alias'ed term name into the term id, but it was already doing that via the url alias system. So I just changed the validator argument type from term name to term id, and it fixed it.

Kevin Quillen, did you manage to get yours working too?
