My company is writing a proposal for an international lumber corporation.
Overview
There are four individual sites that need to be created -- each site targeting a different audience (investors; distributors/bulk-buyers; end-users; contractors).
Some particulars
The first site will need a product catalog
-- items will NOT be for sale online
-- products number in the hundreds
-- there will be two levels of categorization
The second site will need a document management solution to publish, archive, and maintain documents, annual reports, market announcements and press releases
The rest will be more basic and require standard CMS functionality to manage text and images. Each site will likely need to manage 10 - 20 pages of updatable web content.
There are several other development pieces that may or may not fall under the umbrella of Drupal:
- a "store locator" so that potential customers can find locations that sell this particular brand of lumber
- a "project calculator" that will be a glorified volume formula to determine how much product a customer would need for a project.
- There *may* be a need to localize (translate) the pages. We will handle that, but would need help implementing that with Drupal.
My company would provide a fully-approved design, valid XHTML/CSS templates, and detailed interface directions.
Other important notes
We are looking for a company or group of serious developer(s) who can host this site, maintain the technology (updates, upgrades, features, etc) and help to train the end-user. We don't anticipate a MASSIVE amount of traffic for any one site as the markets are relatively small for these lines of products.
As stated above, we are still writing the proposal. Questions are welcomed, but at this phase we're looking for potential working partners and to generate some dollar estimates.
Thanks guys (and gals?). This is my first request on the Drupal forums. If I violated protocol, please excuse me. Should I leave my email address?

Any of the above will work, IM'ing is faster and more conducive to discussion, so I'd prefer that (if I'm online). Thanks.
