Is this module intended to be compatible with the Connector social login compatibility layer that's being worked on for Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/connector)? Or is it another separate Facebook integration module?

I would love to see if the various people working in this space can get centralized on a standard Drupal-native API for integration with not just Facebook, but other social networking sites. That way, this module could provide Facebook-specific features, while working in concert with a more abstracted social network login system.

Because of our organization's needs to use multiple social networks, and to integrate across platforms besides Drupal, we are currently using the Gigya Socialize module. But I am definitely interested in supporting development on other solutions that are specific to Drupal, especially if they are API-like and thus able to work together with other social network integration modules. Drupal for Facebook, by contrast, is too monolithic in my opinion.

So, in short, I would be interested to know where this module is planned to fit into the overall Drupal social network integration ecosystem, and especially with Connector module, since that seems to be the most promising Drupal-native API solution currently.

This module will be compatible with any other module that uses the *new* facebook apis. But this project has a limited scope. The goal is to provide simple ways of bringing the new facebook social plugins (http://developers.facebook.com/plugins) in Drupal.
