Hello,
I am looking for a developer to upgrade the Drupal 4.6 mail module to 4.7. Yes, I realize that Mime Mail and Send is suppose to replace the Mail Module from 4.6, but I don't want the complication of mailing lists. I want a simple way to send all registered users on my site an html designed email.
I will pay by escarow, EFT, or paypal.
Thank you.

I like Mail module as well. Simple and straight to the point.
Would be nice to have it for 4.7.
Simple news requires people
Simple news requires people to subscribe. I don't want something that complex..something nice clean and simple. Every other CMS has this option to send email to everyuser except drupal. There has to be someone that will easily convert it, especially when I'm willing to pay.
Yes.
Hi,
I feel the same way. The mail function is the main thing that allowed me to fit a clients specification. I do like the idea of using mailman with the interface module but I would need to move the site from a shared host (dreamhost) to a virtual machine (Xen with bytemark uk) to do this.
I can understand that with power comes responsibilty and having opt in and opt out methods in place help with people miss using this module. Having the mail module back would be great although getting some of the features of simplenews in there too would be a treat.
Like a few other people I had a look at the http://www.lullabot.com/videocast/drupal_actions_and_workflow_video
but as I say I would need to have a non-shared host to do this as far as I can tell.
This is a fairly complex way to do things especially when like me there must be a few peole out there who wold just like a "Send to all members" button.
I am sure the authors(s) don't like this 4.6 to 4.7request as they have made a clear statment on the subject for reasons I have not read about but simplenews does not use smtp (for me at least) and requires another level of opting in that can't be bypassed in the configuration.
