Has anyone here had to port over a system from the Absolute News Manager System by Xigla Software?
The company I work for is looking for an alternative to this template-based commercial system. In order for me to convince them that it's a good system, I need to show them that their news articles and posts can be ported over without much fuss or degredation in information integrity.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
On a related note, does anyone have or know a well-rounded ad management module for drupal?
Thanks guys,
-Sean

Thanks for the info, I'll do
Thanks for the info, I'll do some testing to see how well it works in comparison to what we have already.
On another note, I should clarify, I am attempting to compile *evidence* enough to make my bosses want to switch to Drupal not Xigla, Xilga's solution is outdated at best and the support is trivial and non-responsive.
If anyone has ANY idea as to how port over the information from a database previously used for Xigla's management software or even someone who has had experience porting over a SQL 2000 database to MySQL. To go even further, if you have worked with SQL 2000 and know how to implement Drupal with that, that would be great too.
Thanks a bunch everyone.
