how to arrange pages in frontpage?

I use "Create Content" -> Story/page
then I select Publishing options and put the page to "Promoted to front page",

the problem is in front page of my website I have so much page
with strange order. How I can put these pages in correct order?

You mean /node as the default frontpage?

With the MISSION box displayed (for most of themes)

You can also use FRONTPAGE module (or was it another name? :)

/node enlists STICKY nodes at the top, and recent posts by date order.

So if you want to rearrange them, change the date.

Donno what you mean by strange order, by default if there are several writers posting articles, the posts are arranged the most recent near the top.

You can also specify HOW MANY on the frontpage (/node), 5, 15, 30...

And how much portion as TEASER - unlimited, 200, 400, 600 words .....
Use EXCERPT.module to enable separate and elegant teaser for each node

And to use VIEWS.module (I never used it before)

using the two together (creating a view or views to use as the front page) gives you a lot of control over the sorting order.
