I have two major website projects I'm working on, and I've just recently started playing around with drupal. I really love it so far and I'd like to be able to use it, but I'm not sure it's the best option right now for either site.

Site 1 --
This is a redesign and expansion of an exisiting site. The site will feature a number of Authors who will submit articles weekly, as well as update blogs. That will be the main content. We're running a forum right now (invision power board) that is very active and Im not concerned with transfering the data (I like invision much more than drupals forums anyway)

The thing is, the site itself won't be a community site per se. I'd really only be using drupal to publish articles and set up a wiki. Is drupal overkill? Does drupal have a good wiki mod (I cant find one for 4.7)?

Site 2 --
This site will be more of a "community" type site, but there is a problem... The current community that I'm tapping into uses a vbulletin message board. I'm very concerned that they will dislike drupals forums. Is there any sort of workaround?

BTW I got no sleep last night so I apologize for this post being hard to follow.

See this old discussion on using Drupal for a corporate style site.

It's not that you 'need' a feature now, think how easy it will be to maintain one CMS and how extensable it will be in the future should you decide to extend your site.
