I am having trouble getting translations files for Korean to show up.

I uncompressed the file. Put the folder into my FTP. It appeared to work because it put the .po file where it said it would. It was kind of weird though because this translation file goes to a different location than other ones I have seen. Instead of being in profiles\default\translations like Dutch or French, it is in modules\system\translations. When I went into admin/settings/language on my site, only English was available. Also, I enabled the Language switcher block and it doesn't show up anywhere. Do you think this is a problem with the way I uploaded it or with how the file is set to be stored?
