Primary function of my personal/family site is blogging.

The problems I get here is only with the Marenelli and it's sub themes. All the rest of the ugly themes (Garland and the rest of the default one) I try this with works fine and I get everything that I desire on the promoted to the front blog node.

In Marenelli If I promote a blog node to the front page my links below the blog content are the following:

incnc's blog 1 comment report to mollom - (see the attached image)

I get identically the same if I go from my front page to the blog page.

If I click on the blog title from the front page or the blog page I get everything that I would like to see on the front page.

At the top above the content I get a very visually pleasing by, posted on, and the date - (see the attached image)

Below the blog content I also get a very visually pleasing listing of the the taxonomy - (see the attached image)

I'm assuming that perhaps a template file needs to be modified, some variables added, and so on but I'm someone of a newbie and can't find exactly what to add where. I think I could get there by using the devel and devel_themer modules but I've found through previous experience that they are very quirky and I cannot get them to work with this Maranelli theme.

If anyone could help me with this it would be appreciated.

Hello,

You'll have to delve in the (short) templates: page.tpl.php and node.tpl.php

I can't give you the answer because I'm unfamiliar with PHP. But observing and trying locally, off your online website can be quite rewarding. The PHP code in the marinelli template doesn't look too obscure and you should be able to make something of it.

If I have the time, I'll have a go as your request can be useful to others as well.

Edit: In fact, when I publish a blog node, Marinelli shows the author as "libre fan's blog" on the front page. You only need to add the date, then.
