My HTML often has "a" tags that have a line break immediately after the "a" (in place of a space). As far as I can tell, this is valid HTML. It also worked in D5.
The D6 HTML Corrector filter (part of the "Full HTML" input format by default) chokes on this. It moves the closing /a tag to the end of the paragraph. (I verified this by turning it off).
(I use emacs auto-fill when editing HTML; that's why the newlines get into tags.)
