Can someone please send me the updated filemanager file so i can use acidfree? Drupal seemed great, up until patching for acidfree. It seems i am not alone in not getting patching to work for the life of me. A better system will be needed if widespread use is desired. Thanks.

Another acidfree question... i was unable to patch filemanager, but tried acid free.

Surprisingly it passed it's self 'test', saying filemanager was patched... even though i didn't do anything.

But when i click on admin/settings/acidfree i get this error. Related to not patching filemanager? Any others with similar problem and help?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: form_select() in /pathtodrupal/drupal/modules/acidfree/acidfree.module on line 295

The function form_select() exists in 4.6 but not 4.7. It looks like you are trying to use acidfree from 4.6 while running 4.7.

Arrrrg. so acidfree will not work with current version of Drupal? :(

*sigh, one thing after anothr.

When you visit it the download page for acidfree the default is 4.6, you need to visit the View other releases link to download the 4.7 version.

When I tried installing Acidfree I couldn't even find the Filemanager module. It's now here: http://drupal.org/node/10243. However there was no filemanager-private.patch...not within filemanager's files or acidfree's files. Since filemanager has moved/evidently been updated & possibly already patched...is it no longer required? Cuz I passed the "test" as well...even without the patch.

Also how do I stop public access to the private directory I had to create? Something to do with robots.txt? Or chmod?

Only local images are allowed.

To stop public access, just put your private directory outside your web folder and change the ownership to www-data or whatever you have it set as

1. I have Drupal 4.7 , Acid Free 4.7 and Filemanager CVS installed

2. AcidFree and FileManager are both enabled on my modules list.

3. Then I went into SETTINGS --> FileManager. It gave me an error that 'private' did not exist. Once I created this directory in my ./files/ directory and again on my drupal root, things are working SWIMMINGLY!

I hope this helps out others!
