I've setup a number of single language drupal sites but have never done a fully dual language site before. Most of the process seems clear to me, but I have a couple of doubts about the initial install.
I'm going to install the English 6.15 core. Should I also download the drupal Spanish core, or will selecting the language in /admin/settings/language fetch any additional files that I might need?
If I use subdomains for language (eg esp.site.com & eng.site.com) do all I need to is point my DNS settings at the drupal directory?
Thanks for any guidance you can give.

In addition to the core internationalization modules, you'll want to checkout the http://drupal.org/project/i18n module.

When I go to http://localize.drupal.org I can't figure out where to download the translations from. All the links seem to be for the translators community & not to the translation itself.
On this page http://drupal.org/project/translations
there is a link to
http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/es-6.x-1.4.tar.gz
Is that suitable for 6.15? I would like the latest version.

I've installed it & it seems ok so far, but the http://localize.drupal.org doesn't seem to be ready for general use
