This should be possible by turning timestamps into psuedo events before passing them to the calendar api.

Latest cvs version has support for adding any date field to a calendar view. Select the field labeled 'Calendar: Start Date' or 'Calendar:End Date' to use it. These dates can also be used as filters and arguments.

This feature has been added and generally seems to be working, so I'm marking this fixed. If there are other problems, we can start specific issues for each.
