Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Any volunteers to port this great module to Drupal 7? I would be happy to contribute testing and an updated README.txt file.

salvisI've done an initial port based on 6.x-1.1 and the feedback I got from Coder and I ported all database code.
At this point I don't have any D7 module that could use ACL, so this code is completely untested! If you do, please provide feedback/patches:

I'm waiting for the module content_access to be ported to D7. Then I'll be able to test ACL for D7. Follow progress at http://drupal.org/node/690610

hans_ro CreditAttribution: hans_ro commentedHi team,
I am running Drupal 7.0.0 on Acquia Dev plattform and had ACL beta 2 installed with Content Access Module and it did not work at all.
Today I installed the Beta 3 and Voila! Like an open door. Great and I love that functionality.
Cheers,
Hans

salvisWe have RC1 of ACL for D7.
No bugs have been reported in BETA3 since it was posted, but we've made some minor modifications (including temporarily breaking and then fixing the -dev version), so we do need a short RC.

dpalmer CreditAttribution: dpalmer commentedThis ACL module broke my permissions on my new drupal 7 completely. no matter what i try i am unable to get anonymous users access to content. according to devel node access, 15 nodes are public, yet give access denied to anyone but my admin. the permissions have been set up as well. this is extremely frustrating :(
