hello!

I am doing a website in KANNADA language using Drupal. I have applied the Kannada Language translation for drupal And the menu Items appear in Kannada without a problem.

But when I want to submit a Content Item i.e add a static page In Kannada in UNICODE, it appears perfectly in the form feilds of the submission form.

But when I submit it, only ????? question marks appear.

I need to solve this as fast as i can.
Can anybody help Please?

I am having similar problems through the audio and bookmarks modules. I suspect the problem lies in the drupal core instead of these two modules.

For example, in using the audiio module, Vietnamese texts in the "Audio Metadata" form can not be converted properly. Certain words in Vietnamese can converted to question marks, (?'s).

Any ideas?

You probably did not create your mysql tables with UTF-8 encoding. Make sure you use the right database.mysql file (4.1 for MySQL 4.1 or higher). Contributed modules may also use the wrong encoding.
